Meet Cory-L Miss Dancer Abney
Coryelle started her dance career at the age of 3 at Southeast Dance Studio located in Kansas City, Missouri. Studying ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, and modern dance at Caruthers Creative Center, Coryelle has competed and won several awards in dance. Coryelle became a majorette baton twirler at the age of 6 and holds the title of Miss Sweetheart and Miss Majorette of Missouri. Coryelle was a cheerleader (2003-2005) and the captain of the Hickman Mills High School cheerleading squad (2004-2005). Coryelle has also participated in drill team, color guard, and winter guard. Coryelle became a member of The Dance Revolution and was a house dancer for the comedy series "Live at the GEM". Coryelle continued dancing as a "Motion" majorette in the Ocean of Soul Marching Band at Texas Southern University (2005-2007). Coryelle was a member of the Tigress Sensation basketball dance team for Texas Southern University (2005-2007) and became the captain in fall 2006. Coryelle is currently a baton twirling instructor for Caruthers Creative Center (2008-Present). Coryelle became and dancer for the Kansas City Titans semi-pro football team (2008-2009). Coryelle, along with partner D'cynaira founded Identity Dance Company in 2009 and is currently co-founder and choreographer for the dance company.
